ProLogis , the world’s largest owner, manager and developer of distribution facilities, announced today that it has leased more than 700,000 square feet of distribution space in southern California’s Inland Empire to Broyhill Furniture Industries, Inc., a leading manufacturer of residential furniture and subsidiary of Furniture Brands International.
Broyhill has leased the space at ProLogis Park I-210, a 2.7-million-square-foot master planned park located in the city of Rialto, California. The North Carolina-based company will share space in the facility with Thomasville Furniture Industries, another subsidiary of Furniture Brands, to distribute home furnishing products to a network of retail outlets in the Western states as well as other markets.
The transaction is one of the largest industrial leases in the Inland Empire so far in 2006, and brings the occupancy at the park to 100 percent. Read more »

Real estate investment trust ProLogis has leased its newly completed distribution center in Southern California to Ashley Furniture Industries Inc., one of the largest manufacturers of home-furnishing products in the country.
Ashley Furniture signed a lease for a 683,000-square-foot facility at ProLogis Park Redlands, in San Bernardino County.
Denver-based ProLogis (NYSE: PLD) said in a news release that it’s the largest owner of industrial distribution space in California’s “Inland Empire” in and around San Bernardino County, with more than 65 facilities totaling nearly 25 million square feet. Read more »

ProLogis (NYSE: PLD – News), a leading global provider of distribution facilities and services, announced today that it has leased a newly completed distribution center in southern California to Ashley Furniture Industries Inc., one of the largest manufacturers of home furnishing products in the U.S.
Ashley has leased a 683,000-square-foot facility at ProLogis Park Redlands, located in San Bernardino County in California’s fast-growing Inland Empire region. Ashley Furniture Industries currently owns and operates a 1-million-square foot distribution center in Colton, California; it will use the new facility as a complementary regional distribution center serving stores across California and six other western states.
