WILL Malaysia see another year of record furniture exports?

In the first quarter of this year, Malaysia’s furniture exports rose by RM141.48 million from the same period last year.

According to the Malaysian Timber Industry Board, from January to March 2006, furniture exports totalled RM1.91 billion, which is 8 per cent more than the RM1.77 billion posted in last year’s first quarter.

These encouraging results were helped by the improving European economy, which heightens its consumers’ purchasing power.

“Our economy has improved lately. Despite high shipping costs, European consumers actually have more money to buy,” Belgium-based Achilles Associates bvba managing partner Jürgen Oskamp said.

The seat is 13 inches from the floor, and the back is 16 inches tall. A dollhouse chair is usually made in the scale used to make the dollhouse. By the 1870s, the most common scale was 1 inch to 1 foot.
