We have a gorgeous willow tree in our garden which will have to come down in the near future (For all you about to admonish me, i wish it could stay up, but its becoming unsafe and damaging our house foundations!) I would love to use the wood to make some furniture for our house. How do i go about this? Who do i need to talk to? I have no idea what steps the wood has to go through before a carpenter can use it. (Apart from the obvious cutting down part!) Many thanks x

Usually furniture makes deep near-permanent impressions in the carpeted flooring. I recently installed premium carpeting in my home and was wondering if there is any way to protect it from these deep markings. Using a rug is not practical in all rooms for example computer desk in study room, or the bed in bedroom or the china buffet in dining room etc etc.

I’m looking for something to cover the top portion of my computer table. Ideally a sticker or so that I could custom order with the size of the surface would be great. I just want to put something over the wood (not tablecloth). I’ve been looking around for places that do this and so far haven’t been able to find any. How well does wallpaper work on furniture?
