I have some heavy, quality furniture to sell: a oak dining table with matching chairs and an Ethan Allen cherry sleigh bed. If I list them with ebay or a similar on-line place, I’d have to include a sizeable shipping fee. Would it be better to put an ad on craigs list or the local newspaper or where? thanks ; )

My boyfriend is clearing out his moms apartment as she has recently been moved into an Assisted Living Center. She has several pieces of furniture (couch, chairs, a table etc) that we would like to donate to a charity, rather than throw them away. We live in Montclair, New Jersey. Can any-one recommend a charity that would be interested in picking up these items? Thanks!!
