i have a very dark brown office furniture set. what color should i paint the room? i’d like warm colors?

the furniture set is “expresso.” i’d like to have a warm feeling in the office, but don’t want it to look drab.

Do it in a sand color that will keep it neutral and then you can use any other colors to accent the office the way you want to.

terracotta is a nice colour to paint the walls. A really nice warm colour!

A nice beadge would suit very well to brown, and it’s kinda warm colour.

I would do it a rose petal color, something pink-ish or some coral, but keep it light. This way the dark furniture keeps it nice and warm, but the endless possibilities of what you can do with it keep you happy when wanting to add or subtract paintings, drapes, and anything else that tickles your fancy. Doing a like color to your furniture will keep you in the browns family, and it’s almost spring! Time for a change!

Use a soft gold that will warm the room and be the perfect backdrop for your dark furniture. Accent colors could include bright or rich warm colors including shades or red and oranges. Or, you could go to the other side of the color wheel to cool colors for contrast and accent with rich purples, blues or greens. Black would also be a dramatic accent color.

I agree with the other suggestion, keep it neutral so whenever u are ready to change it will be easy. The accents would be pretty, using coral, dark lime green (or light if female), red, you get the pic. My bedroom set is dark brown and my accents are coral sheets, and the comforter is white, with pillows to accent both.

I know everyone says tan or beige….go with a light creamy yellow. It will be warm, cheery, and inviting. I have a lot of yellow; as a matter of fact I have had it in every house I have lived in. (4) and it is a color I never have grown tired of.
It would make the wood stand out. Accent with Reds. It will look great. I have those colors in my kitchen and it is adorable.

I would do warm (pale) yellow. Those two colors would be very inviting together. You can even do a very light wash of gold shimmer on the walls…the will create a very modern rich feel.
If you want something a little more toned down, do a warm beige. You can add more rich colors like red, blue, green with your artwork or flowers to give a bit more punch with a subdue color like beige.
Whatever you do…don’t leave your walls WHITE. The contrast is too HARSH and it will make the room look COLD.
Hope that helps…You might want to get some paint chips at Home Depot (any paint store) and see if you like the colors before painting the walls.

I would try sage green on an accent wall and beige on the other walls. The sage green next to the wood is beautiful. It makes the wood look so rich.
