Furniture Row and its four specialty stores for home furnishings are coming to Madison.
Furniture Row, which will open Aug. 4, has Oak Express, Bedroom Expressions, Sofa Mart and Denver Mattress Company stores. Based in Denver, Colo., Furniture Row Companies is the parent company to Oak Express and Bedroom Expressions, which are relocating from their former Huntsville address at 4830 University Drive.
“The 53,440 square foot center will bring a unique furniture shopping experience to the area,” said Bill McKendry, marketing director for Furniture Row Companies. “Unlike other furnishings retailers, our centers have four specialty stores at one destination.”
The staff at each store is knowledgeable about their specific lines. “And, best of all, they all guarantee their prices to be the lowest,” McKendry said.
C.R. Crawford Construction of Fayetteville, Ark., is the contractor and received a $3.2 million building permit from the city of Madison. “Furniture Row goes into high-growing areas,” Cody Crawford said. “They saw lots of upsize growth in Madison.”
At Furniture Row, Denver Mattress Company manufactures, distributes and sells its own private label, thus “eliminating the middleman markup. Customers get brand-name quality mattresses for as much as 50 percent less. Denver Mattress stands behind their product by offering a 10-year warranty on every mattress sold,” McKendry said.
Casual leather and upholstery furnishings are favorite choices at Sofa Mart, along with accent pieces, occasional tables, armoires and home accessories for the living and family rooms. The chain provides a large variety of styles, some reminiscent of items in high-end department stores and fashionable catalogs. McKendry said the big differences at Sofa Mart are more attractive prices and better availability.
Oak Express carries only furnishings made from fine woods such as oak, cherry, maple and pine. It is the largest cash buyer of wood furniture in the United States, McKendry said. “From dining and entertainment to home office,” he said, “Oak Express offers consumers a chance to own quality, long-lasting furniture at very affordable prices.”
McKendry described Bedroom Expressions as a unique shopping experience with a single store specializing in bedroom furniture. It offers customers a larger selection of better quality furniture, he said.
Furniture Row offers a “200-percent, price-pledge guarantee” on its merchandise. Financing options are also available.
The company donates to charitable organizations such as World Vision, The Salvation Army, Arbor Day Foundation and Association of Gospel Rescue Missions. Furniture Row Companies is one of the largest family-owned specialty home furnishings and bedding retailers and operates 330 stores in 30 states.
Furniture Row also owns and is the primary sponsor of the NASCAR Nextel Cup team.
