ASSOCIATION of Negros Producers (ANP) Marketing Manager Olive Javier invites Negrenses to a furniture exhibit, showcasing Negros-made furniture for export.

The show-exhibit dubbed as “Matahum” will be launched this June 30, Saturday at the Negros Showroom.

avier said all exhibit items are among the latest furniture designs crafted by small and medium enterprise (SME) furniture groups of the ANP.

“These carefully crafted furniture are designed to capture a niche in the international market,” Javier said.

“Our people should know that we have gone this far and hundreds have already benefited from such exhibits in terms of employment. Also, capital investments for the manufacturing of furniture are relatively low, yet meticulously done for export,” he added.

“Matahum” is an example of the best that Negrense talent has to offer the country and the rest of the world, Javier added.

Javier assured that all furniture items to be exhibited and exported had passed the requirements and testing of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR).

“Ecology is part of ANP’s advocacy. Materials used for furniture making are either recycled and usually the end-point of twigs not the body of trees,” Javier explained.

“Matahum,” participating exhibitors are Art Energy, Hacienda Crafts, Tumandok Crafts, Atelier Aguila and Golden Furnishing.(GABS)
