Furniture retailer about $12m in debt

The voluntary administrator of the retailer Casual Living says the company is about $12 million in debt.
Martin Lewis, from administrator Ferrier Hodgson, says the South Australian-based business with five stores in Adelaide, three in Sydney and two in Melbourne, ran into trouble when it expanded interstate too quickly.

Palliser Furniture to transfer manufacturing from Alberta plant to Winnipeg

The closing of one factory’s doors means a job-market window may open in Winnipeg.
Palliser Furniture announced today the closing of its Airdrie, Alberta plant and the transfer of Canadian manufacturing to its Winnipeg factory.
