Indonesian furniture displayed in Kyrgyztan
May 3rd, 2007 Category Events, Furniture, Indonesia FurnitureA number of Indonesian wood and rattan furniture products had been displayed in an international trade fair “Kyrgyztan-2007″ held in Bishkek, Kyrgyzatan, on April 26-30, 2007, the Indonesian Embassy in Tashkent said.
Visitors of the exhibition were impressed to see the Indonesian furniture products which they viewed as exotic and different from those of other countries, the Embassy`s Human Relations Affairs said in a press release made available to ANTARA here on Tuesday.
In the first two days of the exhibition, a number of Indonesian rattan furniture products and home decorative items were sold.
At least 60 rattan chairs were bought by a restaurant owner and several wood furniture items were ordered by a local hotelier, the embassy said.
The large number of visitors to the Indonesian stand indicated that the quality of Indonesian furniture was not inferior to Chinese products exhibited in the country.
Besides, two local furniture companies also expressed interest to become local distributors of the Indonesian furniture products, it said.
It was for the first time the embassy sent wood and rattan furniture products to be displayed in the Kyrgyztan Expo 2007.
The exhibition also displayed various goods such as soaps, perfumes, foods and garments.(*)
