Warehouse’s worth of furniture must go

Leather furniture, casual dining, office furniture and more is priced significantly below cost from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. today and Sunday at 7045 S. Fulton St., Centennial, 303-662-0865.
BG Distributors, which usually sells its furniture and home accessories only to the design trade, will sell floor samples and overstocks at half of wholesale price from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. today and Sunday at its warehouse, 775 S. Jason St., 303-292-3330.
As the Gates redevelopment project gets under way, wrecking crews are poised to move into the old warehouse district on South Santa Fe Drive south of West Alameda Avenue. Here’s what’s happening:
• Brandon Home Furnishings, 900 S. Santa Fe Drive, 303-715- 9200, starts its store-closing sale Thursday, with furniture, accessories, imports and rugs marked down by 70 percent of retail.
• Carpet Mill Warehouse is settling into its new digs at 1300 S. Abilene St., off East Mississippi Avenue just east of Interstate 225, Aurora, 303-369-8809.
• Kacey’s furniture outlet at 900 S. Santa Fe Drive has closed and sent its discounted pieces to Kacey’s stores. A new outlet store is scheduled to open in June.
• Habitat for Humanity’s Home Improvement Outlet has been offering bargains since January from its new location, 70 Rio Grande Blvd., between West Ellsworth and West Third avenues, just east of Interstate 25, 303-722-5863, habitatoutlet.org. Current great deals include hardwood trim (quarter rounds, baseboards, crown molding) starting at 25 cents a linear foot, waterproof drywall at $7 a sheet and dining-room sets made to sell for $2,000 for $1,000.
Brave New Kids, 3083 Walnut St., Boulder, 303-443-8333, bravenewkids.com, is closed until Tuesday, when it reopens at 10 a.m. newly stocked with children’s colorful, natural-fiber clothing for spring. Founder Lauren Goldberg designs all the outfits, which run from preemie to size 7, and they’re manufactured in Boulder. Goldberg is taking a few days off to freshen up the store and to mark down prices on all fall and winter merchandise by 25 percent to 50 percent.
