Helikon Furniture closing

Officials at Helikon Furniture, LLC in Taftville have announced the company is closing.
Layoffs began about a month ago, according to the Department of Labor, and the 50 employees of the company will be eligible for extended unemployment benefits.
The company was originally looking for a new location in the Norwich Business Park.
They expect to close mid-May.
